Happy Birth Mother’s Day

To all those Birth Mothers who chose to give the gift of life… Happy Birth Mother’s Day!


Many things have touched our hearts over the years, filming wedding and events, but the story above touched our hearts in a very special way…

We had filmed Ben & Kaila’s wedding several years ago. Their highlight ranks as one of our favorites and was an International Award Winner. After not being able conceive a child, they made the decision to adopt. Through some friends they came in contact with Circle of Love in Wichita, KS. A Birth Mother, Megan, from Circle of Love came across their profile and chose them to adopt her unborn twins.

Yes, twins, a boy & a girl! Ben & Kaila were thrilled to begin this adoption journey to becoming parents. More importantly, their wedding film was such a treasure to them, they wanted a film of their adoption journey as well to one day share with their twins. This is just the first in a series of videos sharing a portion of their story. This one they wanted to be for the express purpose of showing their love and appreciation for their Birth Mother, Megan.

Meagan touched our hearts as we met her on delivery day at the hospital. She gave Ben & Kaila an amazing gift, the gift of children. I must say, it wasn’t the easy way. It took great courage to and strength to carry this pregnancy to full term, but she felt it was best for those two precious lives she brought into this world.

Today is Birth Mother’s Day. A day to celebrate Meagan and all Birth Mothers who choose to place their unborn children with a loving family through adoption. I must say, it is one of the most sacrificial acts of love a Birth Mother can do for her unborn child. Today and every day we salute Birth Mothers for choosing to give life!

2013 Linen Runway Show

Oh the fun things we get to do. Three years ago Marianne’s Rentals for Special Events, an OKC Party Rental company, came up with this clever idea for showcasing their latest table linens. Turn them into evening gowns and showcase them in a live runway show. There is one caveat, the gowns are not sown. They are pinned, tucked, & wrapped onto the runway models. It truly is an inspiration in color and texture!

Each year the Linen Runway Show has continued to grow and become quite the event. This year was no exception with Marianne’s Tabletops displayed in the cocktail area with beautiful florals from The Fleuriste, lighting from Innovative Event Solutions, paper from Paper8, coordination from OKC Perfect Wedding Guide, cupcakes from Gigi’s Cupcakes and h’orderves from Riverwind Hotel & Cassino.

This year the models were pageant winners in both the Miss America, Miss, Teen & Mrs. USA pageants from Oklahoma and four surrounding states. Styling for all the runway models was under the direction of Malorie Avaline Hair & Make Up. Little did these lovely pageant winners know they were competing for the crown of Miss Oklahoma Tabletop! And yes, we had a winner!

Marianne’s Rentals also teamed up with the Oklahoma Children’s Miracle Network Hospital as all the proceeds from the event were donated to this local charity. The absolute highlight of the evening was when each Miracle Child took a walk down the runway escorted by one of the pageant winners. To see the joy and excitement in their faces, moved us to tears.

Coles Garden Wedding Day Edit | Azure + Mark

Cherry blossoms were in full bloom for Azure & Mark’s spring wedding planned and designed by About Last Night Event Planning. Azure looked stunning as she slipped into her Jenny Packham wedding gown. Mark, with a little nervous anticipation, waited patiently for Azure to exchange wedding gifts just before their ceremony, separated only by a curtain. No peeking during this exchange.

New Leaf Florist did an amazing job on all the florals. The ceremony was simply a masterpiece with cherry blossom archways lining the Regency Room at Coles Garden. It was the perfect setting for making a life long commitment.

Guests were treated to the couple’s favorite drink, ice cold bottles of Dr. Pepper following the ceremony as well as an array of tasty buffet stations from the Catering Connection OKC. The Bride’s cake from Mishelle Handy Cakes took center stage in the ballroom on the dance floor beneath the chandelier. The Groom, an OSU grad was loving his Dr. Pete cake too!

Mark and Azure are off to a great start as husband & wife… as high school sweethearts this wedding day has been one they have dreamed of for a very long time. We pray God’s greatest blessings over them as they begin a new chapter of life together. ~Mark + Trisha

Canebrake Wedding Day Edit | Jennifer + Jason

The drive back to the Canebrake on Lake Fort Gibson was a scenic lined archway of trees. Then after a quick tour of this great venue, we were off to a meadow filled with wild flowers. In a area nestled in some trees, was a romantic ceremony setting with the most charming flowers. Jennifer was so into the details and she didn’t miss a one.

Jennifer and her Dad shared an emotional first look after she was dressed in her gown. Then they escorted Jason, blindfolded to take a peek at his Bride.

We are all about family and Jennifer had shared with me her Grandmother would be her Maid of Honor. Sniff… She said she would be in a wheel chair and be seated with her parents, but she would be wheeled down the aisle bearing this special honor in Jennifer’s wedding party. It was so sweet of her to include her “Ma” in such a special way. She did carry a fun sign for the groom too.

I must say the flower girl with her pail of flower petals and the ring bearer touting his fishing pole was just too cute and so fitting! It was picture perfect as Jennifer & Jason exchanged their wedding vows in this heartfelt wedding ceremony.


Jennifer & Jason are off to a beautiful start as Mr. & Mrs. with a little or we might say a lot of fishing & duck hunting to come mixed with a whole lot of family & love along the way! Click play to see their Wedding Day Edit that played at their reception!

Coles Garden Wedding Day Edit | Zinnia + Kyle

Zinnia & Kyle began their wedding day with a traditional Tea Ceremony hosted at the Brides parent’s home. It was quite a site as Kyle and his groomsmen came bearing the dowry for the Bride’s hand in marriage.

Then it was off to Coles Garden to continue the wedding day festivities orchestrated by Jane Kelly Weddings & Parties. Zinnia & Kyle tenderly exchanged their vows with an outdoor ceremony in the Royal Garden. The children in the wedding party all helped with a very cool butterfly release. Guests from far and near enjoyed dinner and dancing into the evening. Their wedding day was filled with lots of special moments and even a few tears of joy.
