Outdoor or Indoor Wedding | Brooke + Josh

Winter Creek Country Club Wedding

Storms were brewing in the distance, so it was a big wedding decision as to whether to have an outdoor or indoor wedding ceremony on this Oklahoma May Wedding day. Yes, they had a back up plan to move inside the Winter Creek Country Club, but the rain held off and the ceremony was held outdoors on the green. Just a side note, ALWAYS have a back up plan for an outdoor wedding. Oh, I could tell you some stories. Just have a back up plan :-)

Josh was a bit nervous waiting to see his Bride in her gown for their first look on their wedding day, but it was all smiles once she came to meet him. Brooke and Josh met on a blind date set up by their siblings. Somehow, I don’t think their siblings will let them forget that bit of their story.

Outdoor Ceremony Indoor Reception

Well the storm did roll in later that evening and the DJ, BTP Productions kept everyone up to date on the weather. He encouraged everyone to stay and enjoy the party as sirens were going off in their hometown just some fifteen miles west of the country club. It was a great night to capture some lighting shots. And yes, there was a take cover plan too! We are oh, so thankful we didn’t have to use the take cover plan.

Despite the drama with the weather, Brooke & Josh enjoyed their wedding day. Brooke was always smiling and she can find laughter in any situation. I have to think that is one of things Josh loves about her. Click play to catch a glimpse of Brooke and Josh’s Wedding Day Edit guests enjoyed at their reception.

We have to share the toasts of the Matron of Honor, the Bride’s sister and the Best Man, the Groom’s brother. The Bride’s sister sang her toast, mermaid style. The Groom’s brother, well he Googled his toast. For those looking for ideas for wedding toasts, both were GREAT! Hit play and enjoy!

Brooke and Josh, thank you for allowing us to share in your special wedding day. May your love for one another continue to grow stronger with each passing year. May you also leave your children with the legacy your parents and grandparents have left you, a lifelong marriage! ~All Our Best, Mark + Trisha

Caitlin + Phillip Ring their Wedding Bell

With storms brewing in Oklahoma this past weekend, Caitlin and Philip opted to move their wedding ceremony indoors. Emerson Events did a beautiful job of making everything perfect for their indoor wedding celebration at the Hall of Mirrors. Even down to having a plan if a tornado began to circle. Thankfully, the tornado didn’t come our way.

Click play to experience Caitlin and Phillip’s Wedding Day Edit shown at their reception. And to think, I had to convince her she wanted a Wedding Day Edit. I told her she would thank me later. We both got big hugs from her after this played.

Just a few of things we loved about Caitlin & Phillip’s wedding…

The Bag Pipe band, The Highlanders of Oklahoma, was a definite wow for the ceremony music. There was a bit of concern, they might be too loud when we moved indoors, but it was perfect. The crowd loved them.

Bag Pipe Band The Highlanders of Oklahoma

Caitlin and Phillip put their personal touch on their wedding day blending both Caitlin’s Irish and Phillip’s Persian cultures. They celebrated their nuptials with both a Persian and a Christian wedding ceremony. The Wedding Bell is a traditional wedding gift for Irish couples. The chime of the bell is said to keep evil spirits away. The couple rang the bell together after reciting their vows. As they venture into married life, they are to ring the bell if they argue and it will remind them of their wedding vows.

Did we mention the cake by Amy Cakes adorned in gold was also another WOW!

Lastly, how Caitlin & Phillip chose to include their Grandparents within your wedding ceremony, says a lot about how they honor and cherish their families. Caitlin’s Grandmother read I Corinthians 13, while Phillip’s Grandfather prayed a prayer of blessing over them in Spanish.

Honoring Grandparents at your wedding

Caitlin and Phillip, while it stormed outside, you had an amazing celebration of love inside. May you continue to celebrate your love for one another and ring your wedding bell rain or shine for a lifetime. ~Mark + Trisha

Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit | Carron + Greg

I get a little teary eyed thinking about Carron & Greg’s Gaillardia Wedding last weekend.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Gaillardia Country Club

They have a very special story. Carron had never been married. Her Dad said he had been waiting forty some years for a man to ask for her hand in marriage. Greg was a widower with two beautiful daughters. The day I met with them to book our services, they each got a little emotional sharing their story with me. I must admit, it touched my heart.

We invite you to click play to share in the romance of this amazing Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit shown at their reception. It starts out with a great line from “When Harry Met Sally” recited by Greg’s daughters.

Carron & Greg, we are so happy for you to have found one another and to see the joy you bring to each one another’s lives. May you enjoy doing life as Mr. & Mrs. Condray! ~Mark + Trisha

Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding | Marlee + Francis

This spring wedding season has been a whirlwind of Weddings Day Edits for us. Each having a flair of its own. Let us introduce you to Marlee + Francis with their Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding.

Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding Marlee and Francis

Marlee and Francis’ Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding was simply lovely. The Guthrie Scottish Rite has such grandeur with its stately columns, sweeping archways and classic chandeliers. The Guthrie Scottish Rite Temple has a character not found in other Oklahoma wedding venues. It was the perfect setting for this elegant wedding coordinated by Gibson Events.

There was a lot of hustle and bustle prior to the ceremony as the wedding party collaborated to assemble the altar for this Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding in the Atrium. The Maid of Honor had the honor of designing the florals for the altarpiece. Everyone pitched in and it looked beautiful for the ceremony.

Guthrie Scottish RIte Wedding Ceremony

The Bride & Groom had a fun surprise for their little one year old ring bearer. He was to go down the aisle in a remote controlled little red Ferrari sports car. It was oh so cute. They did a practice ride before the ceremony and all went well. The little guy wasn’t too happy about his ride in his little red sports car when the ceremony time came around, but it was an adorable wedding idea for sure.

The Guthrie Scottish Rite Ballroom looked fabulous lined with banquet style seating for the 200 plus wedding guests. All the tables lined with beautiful florals by Poppy Lane Design and their gold chargers awaited guests following the cocktail hour. The wedding cake by Amy Cakes added such charm to the overall décor with its delicate details and gold flowers.

Garden Wedding Day Edit | Haley + James

Garden Wedding at the Dallas Aboretum

Haley & James had a beautiful Garden Wedding at the Dallas Aboretum coordinated by After Yes Weddings. With all the spring flowers in full bloom, it was the perfect setting for their garden wedding. Haley & James exchanged their vows in Crape Myrtle Allee with its sweeping archway of crape myrtles and the long stone pathway for an aisle. James added a very personal touch to their garden wedding by building the magnificent arbor adorned with florals by Bows & Arrows for their ceremony. They hosted their outdoor reception at the DeGolyer Loggia at the Aboretum as guests enjoyed dinner and dancing.

Just a few things we loved…

Crape Myrtle Allee made for a magical ceremony location.

While their wedding cake was amazing, we loved the Groom’s chocolate naked cake. Not to mention the cool cake topper with their names.

We were so impressed with Haley & James heartfelt letter on their wedding program to their parents, we had to share it with you. It put the wedding day in a great perspective. We so admire the love and value they place on their families.

Bookout Wedding Day Edit | Kevin + Sheri

#Bookout Wedding

Click play to have a peek at Kevin & Sheri’s Bookout Wedding Day Edit guests enjoyed viewing at their reception.

It is was my responsibility to fill Mark in on the Bookout wedding details, well I guess, I forgot to mention the Groom was a former OU Basketball player and a well-known Oklahoma athlete. Google pretty much filled in those details for Mark after someone coming for Mass asked if it was Kevin Bookout’s wedding, the OU basketball star. I also forgot to mention, Sheri was a former Thunder cheerleader too. But I must say, both Kevin and Sheri are two of the nicest, most down to earth people you will ever meet.

Bookout Wedding Day Edit

The Bookout wedding day wasn’t about basketball or all their athletic accomplishments, although his Brothers did mention them in their toasts. Their wedding day was about this special couple committing their lives to one another for the rest of their lives. The photos of their parents and grandparents displayed for their reception were representative of their two families’ commitment to lifelong marriages. Kevin and Sheri also share that same commitment.

The Bookout Wedding was filled with lots of great moments. I think both the Bride and the Groom were a bit nervous, but after they first look, a sweet calm began to rest on each one of them. This is just one of the many weddings we so loved being a part of and so appreciate their love of God, family and friends.

Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit | Abby + Miles

Bride and Groom Gaillardia Wedding

Abby & Miles became Mr.& Mrs H this past weekend at their Gaillardia Wedding. It was simply beautiful. They choose to celebrate their wedding and reception in the Gaillardia ballroom. It looked oh so lovely dressed with organza laced chiavari chairs and charming forals by Emerson Events.

Gaillardia Wedding in the Ballroom

As guests made their way to the patio following the ceremony for a short cocktail hour, The Wedding Belle orchestrated a quick transformation of the ballroom for their elegant wedding reception. The reception décor looked amazing. We loved the Bride & Groom’s sweet heart table. Watch the amazing ballroom transformation in the Wedding Day Edit.

Gaillardia Wedding Reception

Abby shares a special bond with her parents. After slipping into her wedding gown, she shared a special first look with her Dad. Tissues were needed as they shed a few happy tears. Abby and Miles chose to save the first look for her walk down the aisle, as Miles passed Abby her bridal bouquet without seeing her.

Father of the Bride's first look

The ceremony has some fun moments as Abby’s bubbly personality came through. The kids were pretty cute too. Abby was one happy Bride to be marrying the man of her dreams. The Bride and Groom along with their friends and family so enjoyed viewing their wedding day edit shown at the reception, we couldn’t resist including their reaction to their Wedding Day Edit.

OKC Wedding Day Edit | Jami + Shane

Jami & Shane
Jami & Shane’s love story began while working at Devon. It was love after the first date. Later, Shane proposed at the Devon Tower. So when it came to selecting an OKC wedding venue, the 50th floor of the Devon Tower seemed to like the perfect choice to commit their lives to one another. It was a match made at Devon.

Click play to view Jami & Shane’s OKC Wedding Day Edit

Their OKC wedding day was magical. Jami looked amazing in her wedding gown from Meg Guess Couture. Shane presented Jami with her bridal bouquet without seeing one another before they met at the alter. Jami’s bridal bouquet had a photo of her late Grandma attached to her flowers in remembrance of her Gram. Jami’s son, Wesley, had the honor of walking his Mom down the aisle and giving her away to Shane. He did awesome. The cutest moment of the wedding day was when Shane turn went to kiss Jami, he quickly had Wesley turn around while he kissed his Mom. Don’t miss it in the Wedding Day Edit. It was sweet and everyone had a good laugh.

The Wedding Belle had the reception sparkling in decor while guests enjoyed looking out over the night lights of Oklahoma City. Jami’s gown was made for dancing and she and Shane made a great impression with their first dance as husband and wife. Jami also shared a special dance with her son. The couple also had a room set up with games for guests to enjoy through out the evening. We closed out their reception with their Wedding Day Edit, that left their guests cheering.

Valentines Wedding Day Edit | Whitney + Trip

Trinity Episcopal Tulsa Wedding

Whitney & Trip’s Valentines Wedding was for the romantic at heart. Their romance began while attending OSU, in a writing class. So for these two OSU alums, their alma mater played a big role in their wedding day. A Pistol Pete ice sculpture and large photo of Boone Pickens stadium dressed in OSU orange was displayed on the Groom’s cake table.
When Pistol Pete arrived with guns blazing the fun really began for their Mayo Reception. The Pistol Pete appearance was a big hit for wedding guests to get a photo op with the OSU mascot.

Pistol Pete Makes Tulsa Wedding Appearance

Whitney’s love language is gift giving. She is so thoughtful of others. How fitting for a Valentines Wedding but to send those you love a special Valentine. She delivered heartfelt cards to many special people in her life on her wedding day. Trip even sent her one as well, bringing a few tears to her eyes.

When it came time for the ceremony, Trip took a deep breath as Whitney and her Dad appeared to grace the aisle at Trinity Episcopal. This was his first opportunity to see his Bride on their wedding day. I don’t think he was disappointed. She looked stunning in her ballroom gown with its sparkling bodice.

A Birth Story | Isabella Kate

Birth-Announcement

Oh, how we love weddings, but lately several of our couples have come back asking for us to capture the birth of their new arrivals. Kati and Orie are one of those couples. Well, I, Trisha film the births, and I must say it is an awesome experience to share with a family.

Happy Birthday, Isabella Kate! A year ago today, I filmed your wonderful birth story. Your Mommy was a trooper delivering you with no epidural. Breathing through all those hard contractions, of which there were many, with your Daddy right their by her side encouraging her all the way. When you appeared, she and your Daddy were all smiles and your Gema was cheering too. They were so excited to see their little girl, their princess Bella. The room quickly filled with family to catch a glimpse of you. Your big Brother, Hudson was so excited to meet you, he quickly leaned over and gave you a kiss. I get a little teary eyed watching this video of all your family coming to meet you for the first time, thinking of what a treasure this will be to you over the course of your lifetime. Your Mommy so thoughtfully had the cutest girly gift bags to give all your visitors thanking them for coming to welcome your arrival.

Your birth was filled with wonder and lots of love for you little princess Bella! Click play to view Isabella Kate’s birth story…
