Cinematic Wedding Film Preparations

The preparations segment of our cinematic wedding films captures the special moments and the excitement of both the Bride & the Groom as they are getting ready on their wedding day. Moments most couples would never see without a wedding video. Chaille and Mark had some very sweet, sentimental wedding ideas I thought I would share. They were married at her parents home in Clinton, Oklahoma.

They displayed photos of their Grandparents in their younger years. Chaille & Mark married on the same day as Chaille’s fraternal Grandparents and displayed their marriage license from 1929. Chaille also had a hair piece for her maternal Grandmother’s veil on their wedding photograph.

Chaille’s nieces were her flowers girls and each had a personalize embroidered slip, what a sweet keepsake (pictured on the left). Chaille’s Mother had made two ring bearer pillows, with one for the Bride’s ring and her name is embroidered at the top and one for the Groom’s ring with his name as well.

Listen as Chaille’s Father tells the humble beginnings of his parents over 82 years ago to begin this cinematic wedding film preparations. We finish out as Chaille’s Mother prays God’s blessing over her daughter for her wedding day. “sniff…”

Surprise Marriage Proposal

Anup found the love of his life. After quite a bit of planning, Anup surprised Priya with a marriage proposal following Tulsa Ballet’s performance of Romeo & Juliet during their backstage tour while their family waited in the audience to see all the excitement. Surprised, Priya said, “Yes!” with a few tears flowing and their families cheering. It was a special moment for sure! We wish them many more wonderful surprises as they begin their journey to becoming husband & wife. ~ Mark + Trisha Check out their proposal below.

Blessings on Your Wedding Day

When it rains on your wedding day, God is showering you with blessings.

Western Oklahoma was suffering from a horrible drought, so when a tropical storm rolled in for Chaille and Mark’s outdoor wedding at her parent’s home, while many area farmers welcomed the rain, for Chaille and Mark and all their wedding guests, it was a different story. Thankfully, OKC wedding planner Amanda Sikich with Planned 2 Perfection had held all the Bridal Party inside waiting for the storm to pass, but the over 300 guests seated and waiting for the ceremony to begin, all had to run for cover. Surprisingly, most guests rode out the storm. Abbey Road Catering started serving drinks and h’orderves. Once the storm passed friends and family were wiping down chairs and getting seated for a once in a lifetime ceremony.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Chaille and Mark committed their lives to one another on the same day Chaille’s paternal Grandparents had been married many years ago. Chaille’s maternal Grandfather presided over the ring ceremony and communion. The couple each shared a verse they had chosen to have engraved inside their wedding band. It was inspiring to hear such love and conviction come from each of their hearts. I must admit, one thing that stood out to us was their faith in God. We pray their trust in God will always continue to be the stabilizing force in their marriage. For we all know the storms of life will come, but God never leaves us, He is always there watching over and protecting us. Their wedding film highlight is a sweet reflection of their love for God and each other.


When all was said and done, maybe things didn’t go quite as planned, but all that truly mattered was Chaille and Mark committed their lives to one another and began a wonderful journey as husband and wife. ~Thanking God for that Blessing  Mark + Trisha

Looking for the perfect Groom’s cake for your husband to be?  I thought we would share just a few unique Groom’s Cake ideas we have seen at weddings.

Fun Facts about Groom’s Cakes:

  • Ninety nine percent of the groom’s cakes we see are chocolate.
  • A lot of the Brides keep the Groom’s Cake as a surprise for the Groom.
  • The Groom’s cake can be a reflection of the Groom’s interests or hobbies.
  • The Groom’s chocolate cake is always popular with guests.
  • All these cool creative cakes came from Mishelle Handy Cakes in Oklahoma City (except for one)
  • Mishelle Handy has the best chocolate cake we have ever had at a wedding.
    (that’s coming from over 15 years of filming weddings and eating cake)

Whatever Groom’s cake you choose, have your caterer back you a box of cake to take with you at the end of the night. You can have your cake and eat it too!

Gaillardia Country Club Wedding | Love + Cherish

Gaillardia Country Club was the setting for Rachele & Jim Bob’s Oklahoma City Wedding on the green overlooking the golf course. The Groom got a few holes of golf in that day before saying I Do. The Bride & her party spent the day being pampered just a bit. All the while the some of OKC’s leading wedding professionals pulled together some exquisite wedding décor. From the florals flowing from the gazebo to the grapes and wine bottles tied into the tabletops and I can’t forget the cakes surrounded by a bird’s nest. The guests danced the night away and the gentleman enjoyed freshly rolled cigars. To love and to cherish the memory of such a beautiful wedding day.

Chair Covers with Bows

Chair covers or no chair covers for your wedding and reception? Chairs vary from venue to venue, but the chairs can definitely add to or take away from the beauty of your wedding decor. Some venues have very stylish looking chairs, other, well.. let’s say they are just don’t fit your look. Whether you rent chairs or choose to use the chairs provided by the venue, a chair cover, or even a simple bow can add a very nice clean look to your room.

Oklahoma Wedding Film | Sand Plum Event Center

Surrounded by family & friends, the Sand Plum Event Center in historic Guthrie, OK was the perfect Oklahoma wedding venue for Lesley & Sean’s vintage inspired wedding.


Lesley & Sean shared a romantic first look before the ceremony. It was an awe moment for Sean when he turned to see her in her gown for the first time. Then it was off to take photos in historic downtown Guthrie with LSD Photography. Take a peek at her photos, they are awesome!

 

Just before the ceremony, Lesley’s Mom and her Bridesmaids spoke a blessing over Lesley and each pinned a blue ribbon on the lining of her wedding gown for her “something blue.” I shed a few tears as each girl spoke to her, it was a very touching moment.

 

 

As Lesley's Dad walked her down the aisle for the ceremony, Sean was trying hard to hold back his tears. Their vows to one another were so them and they had everyone laughing and crying throughout the ceremony.

Guests made their way upstairs to find a lavish buffet awaiting them for dinner. Guests were also treated to yummy cake and truffles from Mishelle Handy Cakes. Dave and the Wavetones filled the dance floor the entire night as guest enjoyed the party. I guess Lesley is known for not being the best secret keeper in her family, but she wanted to keep her Wedding Day Edit a surprise. Everyone was blown away by the short film of their wedding day shown at the reception. Her Mom said it was the best surprise of the day. As they rode off in a horse drawn carriage, it was a fairytale ending to fun filled wedding day. We wish Lesley & Sean a lot of wild and crazy love in every adventure they share throughout their lives as Mr. & Mrs. Y!
