OKC Wedding Day Edit | Rachel + Carson

OKC-Wedding-Day-Edit-Crossings-Rachel-Carson

It’s funny how we never tire of filming weddings. It is such a privilege to witness two becoming one in marriage. Rachel & Carson had a beautiful wedding day that began at Crossings surrounded by family and friends.

Every wedding has a first and this was the first wedding we ever saw all the guys crowd in front of a mirror to pose for a selfie. They said it was a wedding tradition they had to keep going. Rachel was all smiles before the ceremony. She and her Bridesmaids squeaked out some time to put a 500 piece puzzle together while getting ready. They said I had to film it. I recall hearing some cheers when it showed up in the Wedding Day Edit.

While Rachel and Carson chose not to see one another before Rachel walked the aisle to meet Carson, they did exchange notes with one another. Rachel eye’s did swell with a few tears after reading Carson’s note. Rachel’s smile never dimmed the entire day, it truly is something special about her. We loved Carson’s reaction to his Bride as the doors opened for her during the ceremony. He took some deep breaths as she and her Dad made their way down the aisle.

Carson’s Father had the honor of officiating their wedding ceremony adding a very personal touch to their wedding day. Rachel and Carson come from wonderful families and share a deep faith in God. May their faith continue to guide them throughout their lives as they journey as husband and wife.

Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit | Abby + Brian

When it is 90 plus degrees and the humidity is running high, we do a little happy dance when a Gaillardia Bride wants to get married indoors. I think the guests really enjoyed the cool comfort while celebrating indoors. We weren’t the only ones happy at Abby & Brian’s wedding. Abby & her Mom had a little surprise for everyone once the Minister pronounced Abby & Brian man and wife. The wall behind the couple opened with a gospel choir dressed in white robes singing “Happy”. With the sun rays beaming in through the windows behind the choir, they had an angelic glow about them. It was a great surprise and it definitely had everyone’s attention.

As guests sipped on cocktails following the ceremony, The Wedding Belle and her team of wedding pros flipped the Gaillardia ballroom from a ceremony setting to an elegant reception for dinner and dancing in record time. Check it out in the Wedding Day Edit, I promise they really do move just that fast.

A few of our favorite things from Abby & Brian’s Gaillardia Wedding

Abby’s lace gown and her bridesmaids gowns. Abby had a rememberance from her deceased Father sewn into her wedding gown close to her.

We loved her Bridal bouquet by Tony Foss Flowers. Abby is a cat lover, her cat cut out escort cards were just too cute!

WOW Wedding Day Edit | Ashley + Klint

Ashley & Klint’s wedding designed and planned by The Wedding Belle was a WOW Wedding! The setting, the décor, the floral, the acrylic dance floor over the pool, the cake suspended over the dance floor, and the exquisite dinner tent for this OKC wedding was amazingly beautiful.

Family Traditions | Emmalee + Ben

Groom Gives Bridal Bouquet

It was just a year ago to the day, we were capturing Emmalee and Ben’s engagement party. And now a year later, it is their wedding day. Their wedding day steeped in their heritage and family traditions designed and orchestrated by The Wedding Belle. They were both so excited to marry one another. Emmalee and Ben put so much thought into the details of their wedding day. While their love for one another shown through, it was their thoughtfulness and compassion for others that captured our hearts.

Click play to catch a glimpse of their Wedding Day Edit steeped in their family traditions shown at their reception.

Emmalee’s Dad could hardly wait to see his sweet daughter in her wedding gown. He had purchased her an heirloom to wear on her wedding day, a pearl bracelet. He was so excited to give it to her. As a child Emmalee’s Dad always sang the song Edelweiss to her. Well Edelweiss is also a very delicate flower. Emmalee asked The Fleuriste to make her Father a special boutonniere from Edelweiss. As she gave him the boutonniere, she shared the memory of him singing to her as a child. As she spoke the words, he said maybe we could dance to that this evening. And yes, Wade Tower sang it beautifully as they waltzed for their Father Daughter Dance to Eldelweiss.

Father of the Bride and Bride exchange gifts on daughter's wedding day

Mark was quick to share how Ben distributed his gifts to all ten of his Groomsmen and shared something special about each one of them in the Groom’s room. But the single yellow rose in every floral arrangement caught our eye and had us asking why the single yellow rose. It was in honor of Ben’s late Father, who always included a rose in every bouquet of flowers he had given to Ben’s Mother. He must have been smiling from heaven at Ben’s thoughtfulness to carry on his tradition on his wedding day with the single yellow rose in his memory.

Ben you are the handsome prince, who married your one and only princess, Emmalee. May your love and thoughtfulness grow and flourish with each passing year as you & Emmalee carry on your family traditions and values. We hope the two of you will also add a few new family traditions as well. Wishing you nothing but lots of love and kisses! ~Mark + Trisha

Outdoor or Indoor Wedding | Brooke + Josh

Winter Creek Country Club Wedding

Storms were brewing in the distance, so it was a big wedding decision as to whether to have an outdoor or indoor wedding ceremony on this Oklahoma May Wedding day. Yes, they had a back up plan to move inside the Winter Creek Country Club, but the rain held off and the ceremony was held outdoors on the green. Just a side note, ALWAYS have a back up plan for an outdoor wedding. Oh, I could tell you some stories. Just have a back up plan 🙂

Josh was a bit nervous waiting to see his Bride in her gown for their first look on their wedding day, but it was all smiles once she came to meet him. Brooke and Josh met on a blind date set up by their siblings. Somehow, I don’t think their siblings will let them forget that bit of their story.

Outdoor Ceremony Indoor Reception

Well the storm did roll in later that evening and the DJ, BTP Productions kept everyone up to date on the weather. He encouraged everyone to stay and enjoy the party as sirens were going off in their hometown just some fifteen miles west of the country club. It was a great night to capture some lighting shots. And yes, there was a take cover plan too! We are oh, so thankful we didn’t have to use the take cover plan.

Despite the drama with the weather, Brooke & Josh enjoyed their wedding day. Brooke was always smiling and she can find laughter in any situation. I have to think that is one of things Josh loves about her. Click play to catch a glimpse of Brooke and Josh’s Wedding Day Edit guests enjoyed at their reception.

We have to share the toasts of the Matron of Honor, the Bride’s sister and the Best Man, the Groom’s brother. The Bride’s sister sang her toast, mermaid style. The Groom’s brother, well he Googled his toast. For those looking for ideas for wedding toasts, both were GREAT! Hit play and enjoy!

Brooke and Josh, thank you for allowing us to share in your special wedding day. May your love for one another continue to grow stronger with each passing year. May you also leave your children with the legacy your parents and grandparents have left you, a lifelong marriage! ~All Our Best, Mark + Trisha

Caitlin + Phillip Ring their Wedding Bell

With storms brewing in Oklahoma this past weekend, Caitlin and Philip opted to move their wedding ceremony indoors. Emerson Events did a beautiful job of making everything perfect for their indoor wedding celebration at the Hall of Mirrors. Even down to having a plan if a tornado began to circle. Thankfully, the tornado didn’t come our way.

Click play to experience Caitlin and Phillip’s Wedding Day Edit shown at their reception. And to think, I had to convince her she wanted a Wedding Day Edit. I told her she would thank me later. We both got big hugs from her after this played.

Just a few of things we loved about Caitlin & Phillip’s wedding…

The Bag Pipe band, The Highlanders of Oklahoma, was a definite wow for the ceremony music. There was a bit of concern, they might be too loud when we moved indoors, but it was perfect. The crowd loved them.

Bag Pipe Band The Highlanders of Oklahoma

Caitlin and Phillip put their personal touch on their wedding day blending both Caitlin’s Irish and Phillip’s Persian cultures. They celebrated their nuptials with both a Persian and a Christian wedding ceremony. The Wedding Bell is a traditional wedding gift for Irish couples. The chime of the bell is said to keep evil spirits away. The couple rang the bell together after reciting their vows. As they venture into married life, they are to ring the bell if they argue and it will remind them of their wedding vows.

Did we mention the cake by Amy Cakes adorned in gold was also another WOW!

Wedding Cake Trimmed in Gold by Amy Cakes Norman, OK

Lastly, how Caitlin & Phillip chose to include their Grandparents within your wedding ceremony, says a lot about how they honor and cherish their families. Caitlin’s Grandmother read I Corinthians 13, while Phillip’s Grandfather prayed a prayer of blessing over them in Spanish.

Honoring Grandparents at your wedding

Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit | Carron + Greg

I get a little teary eyed thinking about Carron & Greg’s Gaillardia Wedding last weekend.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Gaillardia Country Club

They have a very special story. Carron had never been married. Her Dad said he had been waiting forty some years for a man to ask for her hand in marriage. Greg was a widower with two beautiful daughters. The day I met with them to book our services, they each got a little emotional sharing their story with me. I must admit, it touched my heart.

We invite you to click play to share in the romance of this amazing Gaillardia Wedding Day Edit shown at their reception. It starts out with a great line from “When Harry Met Sally” recited by Greg’s daughters.

Carron & Greg, we are so happy for you to have found one another and to see the joy you bring to each one another’s lives. May you enjoy doing life as Mr. & Mrs. Condray! ~Mark + Trisha

Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding | Marlee + Francis

This spring wedding season has been a whirlwind of Weddings Day Edits for us. Each having a flair of its own. Let us introduce you to Marlee + Francis with their Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding.

Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding Marlee and Francis

Marlee and Francis’ Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding was simply lovely. The Guthrie Scottish Rite has such grandeur with its stately columns, sweeping archways and classic chandeliers. The Guthrie Scottish Rite Temple has a character not found in other Oklahoma wedding venues. It was the perfect setting for this elegant wedding coordinated by Gibson Events.

There was a lot of hustle and bustle prior to the ceremony as the wedding party collaborated to assemble the altar for this Guthrie Scottish Rite Wedding in the Atrium. The Maid of Honor had the honor of designing the florals for the altarpiece. Everyone pitched in and it looked beautiful for the ceremony.

Guthrie Scottish RIte Wedding Ceremony

The Bride & Groom had a fun surprise for their little one year old ring bearer. He was to go down the aisle in a remote controlled little red Ferrari sports car. It was oh so cute. They did a practice ride before the ceremony and all went well. The little guy wasn’t too happy about his ride in his little red sports car when the ceremony time came around, but it was an adorable wedding idea for sure.

The Guthrie Scottish Rite Ballroom looked fabulous lined with banquet style seating for the 200 plus wedding guests. All the tables lined with beautiful florals by Poppy Lane Design and their gold chargers awaited guests following the cocktail hour. The wedding cake by Amy Cakes added such charm to the overall décor with its delicate details and gold flowers.

Garden Wedding Day Edit | Haley + James

Garden Wedding at the Dallas Aboretum

Haley & James had a beautiful Garden Wedding at the Dallas Aboretum coordinated by After Yes Weddings. With all the spring flowers in full bloom, it was the perfect setting for their garden wedding. Haley & James exchanged their vows in Crape Myrtle Allee with its sweeping archway of crape myrtles and the long stone pathway for an aisle. James added a very personal touch to their garden wedding by building the magnificent arbor adorned with florals by Bows & Arrows for their ceremony. They hosted their outdoor reception at the DeGolyer Loggia at the Aboretum as guests enjoyed dinner and dancing.

Just a few things we loved…

We were so impressed with Haley & James heartfelt letter on their wedding program to their parents, we had to share it with you. It put the wedding day in a great perspective. We so admire the love and value they place on their families.

Bookout Wedding Day Edit | Kevin + Sheri

#Bookout Wedding

Click play to have a peek at Kevin & Sheri’s Bookout Wedding Day Edit guests enjoyed viewing at their reception.

It is was my responsibility to fill Mark in on the Bookout wedding details, well I guess, I forgot to mention the Groom was a former OU Basketball player and a well-known Oklahoma athlete. Google pretty much filled in those details for Mark after someone coming for Mass asked if it was Kevin Bookout’s wedding, the OU basketball star. I also forgot to mention, Sheri was a former Thunder cheerleader too. But I must say, both Kevin and Sheri are two of the nicest, most down to earth people you will ever meet.

Bookout Wedding Day Edit

The Bookout wedding day wasn’t about basketball or all their athletic accomplishments, although his Brothers did mention them in their toasts. Their wedding day was about this special couple committing their lives to one another for the rest of their lives. The photos of their parents and grandparents displayed for their reception were representative of their two families’ commitment to lifelong marriages. Kevin and Sheri also share that same commitment.

The Bookout Wedding was filled with lots of great moments. I think both the Bride and the Groom were a bit nervous, but after they first look, a sweet calm began to rest on each one of them. This is just one of the many weddings we so loved being a part of and so appreciate their love of God, family and friends.
