Wedding Video Invitation | Matt + Anna

Well, our son is tying the knot and we couldn’t be happier as we are gaining a wonderful daughter, Anna. We were excited when Anna said she was up for a wedding video invitation to invite guests to their wedding. Their guests have been a bit surprised receiving a DVD in their mailboxes rather than a traditional wedding invitation. We had a good time putting this one together as Matthew is quite the ham for the camera. We might be missing a few of his motor vehicles he regularly rides but not many. We can now say, we have been the Bride, the Groom, Parents of the Bride and now Parents of the Groom! We can truly relate to our clients and all that goes into the wedding planning experience. It will be two married and one to go for our family! Mark jokingly told Megan we are on a three year plan and not to make any marriage plans until 2016. We will let you know how that goes.

2013 Linen Runway Show

2013-Linen-Runway-Show

Oh the fun things we get to do. Three years ago Marianne’s Rentals for Special Events, an OKC Party Rental company, came up with this clever idea for showcasing their latest table linens. Turn them into evening gowns and showcase them in a live runway show. There is one caveat, the gowns are not sown. They are pinned, tucked, & wrapped onto the runway models. It truly is an inspiration in color and texture!

Each year the Linen Runway Show has continued to grow and become quite the event. This year was no exception with Marianne’s Tabletops displayed in the cocktail area with beautiful florals from The Fleuriste, lighting from Innovative Event Solutions, paper from Paper8, coordination from OKC Perfect Wedding Guide, cupcakes from Gigi’s Cupcakes and h’orderves from Riverwind Hotel & Cassino.

This year the models were pageant winners in both the Miss America, Miss, Teen & Mrs. USA pageants from Oklahoma and four surrounding states. Styling for all the runway models was under the direction of Malorie Avaline Hair & Make Up. Little did these lovely pageant winners know they were competing for the crown of Miss Oklahoma Tabletop! And yes, we had a winner!

Marianne’s Rentals also teamed up with the Oklahoma Children’s Miracle Network Hospital as all the proceeds from the event were donated to this local charity. The absolute highlight of the evening was when each Miracle Child took a walk down the runway escorted by one of the pageant winners. To see the joy and excitement in their faces, moved us to tears.

Depart In Style on Your Wedding Day

Wondering on how to depart your wedding? We thought we would share a few of our favorite past wedding exits.

An idea we often toss out for Brides to consider is having a grand departure following your ceremony at the church. It can make for great photos & video on your wedding day with your picturesque church as a backdrop. It also allows everyone who attends to your wedding to participate in your departure as you run through the crowd.

Very often, your car can circle around the block as guests depart for the reception and you can make your way back to the church to finish out the photos.

A limousine, classic car… For all our Oklahoma City Brides check out King’s Limousine. If you are in for having a classic car, they have the beautiful vintage white Jaguar (one of our favorites). They also have some great Limousine options as well. We have rented the Mercedes Limo bus decked with the big flat screen TV, great for transporting your Bridal Party. We love the fact that you can always count on them to be there with professional drivers ready to take you safely to your destination.

Lace & Love | Allison + Phillip

Palace-Event-Center-Wedding

When you have a beautiful bride in a lace gown marrying the man she loves, you have a storybook wedding. To make the story even more complete both Allison & Phillip wrote each other a heartfelt note they each read before their ceremony. Tony Foss Flowers had the Palace Event Center dressed in blue florals to compliment Marianne’s burlap linens to give that touch of vintage chic. After dinner guests filled the dance floor strung in lights to celebrate the night away. We wish Allison & Phillip a lifetime of love and laughter as they begin their journey as husband & wife!

La Cantera Destination Wedding | Diana + Jeremy

The Westin La Cantera Resort was a fabulous setting for our Diana & Jeremy’s destination wedding in the Texas Hill Country. Diana and Jeremy value their families and chose to travel from Dallas to San Antonio for a smaller intimate wedding to share their nuptials.

The groom and his groomsmen began their wedding day with some golf on the exquisite Palmer Golf Course at the resort while the Bride & her girls enjoyed some wedding day pampering. Once everyone was ready, Diana & Jeremy shared a sweet first look before their family and bridal party joined them for photos. It was a pleasure working with Dallas Wedding Photographer, Jeremy Gilliam.

Their ceremony was held surrounding a pond in the courtyard, with a beautiful view of the Texas Hill Country. I must say the highlight of the reception was the entertainment…The Spazmatics! It was a great weekend of joining these two families into one and we loved capturing all the special moments. Click play to share in their wedding day!

Diana & Jeremy, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! ~Mark + Trisha
