Reminiscing about Katie and Nick’s OKC Wedding, a few things stood out…
The Importance of Marriage for a Lifetime
First of all, Katie & Nick come from families steeped in the tradition of marriage for a lifetime. They too want to follow in their families footsteps of marriage for a lifetime. So much so, each set of Grandparents share a bit of marital advice at the close of their anniversary dance.
Celebrating the marriages of their grandparents, Katie presented each Grandma with a bouquet of flowers and asked each Grandparent for word of marital advice. They get to hear all of their wise words in their wedding film, but we chose Nick’s Grandfather’s advice for the highlight. It is sure to make you smile.
We salute Katie and Nick for the value and love they place on their family relationships. The appreciation and love expressed to their families was quite impressive.
Surprise First Dance
Katie & Nick plotted, schemed and choreographed one of the most extensive first dances’ we have seen in over twenty one years of filming weddings. To keep their first dance a surprise, while staying with Katie’s parents the month prior to the wedding, this dancing couple would practice after her parents went to bed. The surprise first dance was quite a success. Everyone loved it! Click play to see these two are quite the dancers.
Since the first dance was going to be the big event, they actually did their parent dances first. Then, followed it up with this amazing surprise first dance.
If the Shoe Fits
Lastly, Katie is a girl who loves glamour and shoes. We know a lot of girls have a love affair with Jimmy Choo, shoes. Katie wins the prize for her Jimmy Choo Cinderella Heels. They were magical! The glitz and glamour of these Cinderella Heels were the perfect fit for Katie to wear down the aisle to say her I Dos.
Katie and her Mom made a trip to the Jimmy Choo salon in San Francisco where she discovered these stunning wedding shoes of her dreams. These sparkling gems were handmade just to size for Katie. They were quite the WOW! First pair of Bride’s shoes we have seen displayed in a glass case at the wedding reception. Her Mom says Jimmy Choo still sends her Christmas cards. Katie plans to get them out and wear them each year on their wedding anniversary. She will be walking in style for a lifetime of Wedding Anniversaries.
